Ok, so why does a ski area need a rather large Beetle? Well, as owner Chic Wilson claims, it's for advertising. He plans on plastering it with as many Willard Mountain logos as possible and driving it around most of the summer. Personally, I think it was just an excuse to buy it and have fun with it. And now, since it's advertising for the business, his wife can't complain about it. Smart thinking Chic. I give you two thumbs up on thinking of that one.
Beetle Stats:Body: Volkswagen Beetle Chasis: Chevrolet Blazer Engine: Chevy Small Block 350 Willard Mountain is a small ski area in upstate New York. Just outside Saratoga. It’s been around since skis were made of wood and leather straps. If you’re from that area, stop in and see the truck and take a few runs while you’re at it. |
